On October 23, 2023, I visited the Prince George Public Library with the School of Education cohort. We were provided with a rundown on the available resources that teachers, both new to the profession and experienced, can take advantage of at the library. Various books, kits, and other educational resources are available to loan. Our assignment for the day was to incorporate something from the library into our lesson plan. I believe that the PGPL will be a valuable resource going forwards into practicum and eventually into a full time teaching position. The library offers resources for all ages, and also offers resources in non-English languages, such as French and Spanish. The ability to implement PGPL resources into our lessons benefits both teachers and students, as they may be able to bring things into the class that were previously unavailable. Overall, the trip to the PGPL was insightful and inspiring, as I found myself going through multiple resources in an attempt to incorporate them into a lesson.
